We are a group of moms, primarily with school-aged children, who get together every month for breakfast, lunch, or a mom's night out. We are also a book club and get together one evening a month to talk books -- and maybe sip a little wine. :-) All we ask is that you do your best to attend at least one gathering per month. And if you RSVP "yes," then we expect to see you. It's no fun planning for a group of no-shows …

So, what is this whole "MOPS" thing? MOPS stands for "mothers of preschoolers" - but don't let that confuse you. MOPS is about meeting the needs of every mom of a child from conception through kindergarten. Being moms is what brings us together and allows us to build a community. The early years of being a mom are just as foundational to you as they are to your baby, and those years are filled with unique needs that other moms instinctively understand. We meet the second Wednesday of every month …

After moving about a year ago, I was surprised to find that my new neighborhood association does not typically offer activities and events for young children. I decided to establish a group for babies and young children in Alamo Heights, Olmos Park, Terrell Hills/Heights, Monte Vista, etc. Many of the kids in these neighborhoods will be going to school together later on, so I thought it would be great if they could start developing those friendships now. I would also like for this group to foste …

We can also look at trying a MNO if it can be worked in to enough peoples schedules and maybe a "family" outing on a weekend (i.e.; Christmas lights on the river, pumpkin patches, strawberry picking, etc). We wil …
